Astronomy Annual Event:  NASA’s  International Observe the Moon Night & Night Skies Observation

6:00 – 10:00 pm

Location:  Parking Lot F

6:00 pm start – As the skies begin to darken, we will have some time to learn how to set up and use a telescope.

Tom and our volunteer astronomers will be on hand to assist you and answer questions. We will also have some time to learn about how to find things in the night sky.

🔭

  • If you have a telescope and want to learn how to use it this is the place to be!
  • Grab that new telescope you just got or that dusty old thing sitting in the attic and bring it out to find out how much fun they are!
  • We will also have telescopes and binoculars available for everyone to see the amazing night sky!

Stars, clusters, galaxies will all be there to see while our volunteer guides to the night sky point these out and tell the tales of heroes and villains visible in the night sky.

It’s also International Observe the Moon Night! A world-wide celebration of our Moon sponsored by the Night Sky Network and NASA/JPL.

Join us here at Bong to see the Moon and learn how it affects us. This is our third year hosting the International Observe the Moon Night at Bong and we are honored to be one of hundreds of sites around the globe bringing this event live to thousands of people.

Just a reminder that all events require a Wisconsin State Park entrance sticker or daily entrance fee.
